• Cast by body type: matching each character to the dancer with a similar shape (tall ↔ tall, round ↔ round) makes the swap believable and keeps the joke.
• Who-is-who by appearance beats left-to-right order whenever dancers move around or change places.
• Re-use your cast: both characters already existed, so this video cost only the video itself. Every new character you make becomes a cast member for future videos.
• 🎤 Lip-sync needs a human-like mouth: on the cookout version the Professor (an open face) moves his lips to the song; the Ballerina’s flat black face can’t. Lip-sync human or open-faced characters, not masked mascots.
• A real place hides the source cheaply: the wedding remix cost the same $0.35 as the original and no kitchen detail leaked through, because the new place was similar in size and light.
